GradeTheBid

The Pre-Submission Quality Check For Government Bids

Know Exactly What Your Bid Is Missing Before The Government Does.

GradeTheBid reads your federal, state, or city solicitation, maps every requirement, reviews your draft, and gives you a clear fix list before you submit.

Built for government contractors. You stay responsible for your final proposal.

First check free. No card to start. New accounts get one free bid check: 10 credits, and a bid check takes 10.

Most Proposal Mistakes Are Not Writing Mistakes. They Are Missed-Requirement Mistakes.

GradeTheBid looks for these before you submit, and tells you where each one is.

How It Works

Four Steps, In This Order

Upload a government bid. Get the checklist and a grade with a fix list before you send it. On Pro, get a first draft from your own past work too.

  1. Upload The Solicitation

Federal, state, city, county, or school district. PDF, Word, or text. The app reads every page and pulls out every requirement, with the page it came from.

  2. Review The Compliance Checklist

Every requirement, where to answer it, and which part of the score it counts toward.

  3. Get A First Draft And Tailored Resumes Pro

Written only from your own Company Profile. Key-person resumes are tailored to the bid. Anything missing is marked [NEEDS YOUR INPUT], never made up.

  4. Fix The Gaps Before You Submit

Your draft is reviewed against the stated evaluation criteria, with a numbered fix list. Already wrote your own draft? Upload it and it gets the same review.

What You Get

Everything On This List Is Built

Compliance Matrix

Every requirement in the bid: what it says, the page, where to answer it, and how it is scored. Download it as Excel.

Section L To M Map

Section L tells you what to send. Section M tells you how they score it. The map shows which instructions count toward which score, so you write to the score.

Clause Check

Every FAR, DFARS, and Texas clause the bid lists, what each one asks of you, and a link to the official text. No AI, and free.

First Draft From Your Own Past Work Pro

Every section, written only from your Company Profile, as Word files in the bid's font and margins. Gaps are marked for you to fill in.

The Grade And The Fix List

Rated with the five ratings federal evaluators commonly use: Outstanding, Good, Acceptable, Marginal, and Unacceptable. Strengths, weaknesses, and a numbered list of what to fix first.

Responsiveness Check For Low-Bid Bids

For a sealed low-bid bid: a pass or fail check of every form, signature, bond, insurance certificate, addendum, and the deadline, with the page for each.

State Checklist For All 50 States And DC

On a state, city, county, or school district bid: where that state posts bids, vendor registration, small business programs, the late payment law, and the forms its bids commonly ask for, each with the official source.

Who Won Before

Similar past federal awards from USAspending.gov: who won, for how much, and when. Federal awards only. Free.

Resume Tailoring Pro

Tailor each key person's resume to the bid, or build one from a short form. Any employer, date, number, or certification that is not in the person's own record is taken out.

What Makes It Different

The Grade, Without The Sales Call

Self-Serve, Not A Sales Call

Big proposal platforms sell a grade like this through a sales call, for up to about $40,000 a year. Here you sign up and run it yourself. Pro is $297 a month.

Your First Check Is Free

No card and no call. Make an account, upload a bid, and see the fix list.

State And Local Bids Too

The State Checklist covers every state and DC, with the official source for each item. We have not found another self-serve tool that checks state bid forms.

Nothing Made Up

The draft and the resumes use only what you give the app. Anything missing is marked for you to fill in.

Other platforms' prices come from their public pages, checked in October 2026.

What Do Your Bids Cost You Today?

Type your own numbers. See what bidding costs you now, next to the plan that covers your bids.

What Would You Run On Each Bid?

Type how many bids you send a month to see your numbers.

This is your own math. It uses only the numbers you typed and our plan prices today. It is not a promise that you will save money or win a bid. Your team still reviews and finishes every bid, and you stay responsible for your final proposal.

A bid check is 10 credits and a full proposal is 20 credits for a solicitation up to 150 pages (a longer one costs a few more credits to read). Credits are only taken when a step finishes. New accounts get one free bid check. With JavaScript on, your numbers stay in your browser and are never saved.

Questions

Plain Answers

Is This Legal Advice?

No. GradeTheBid is software, not a law firm. It is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. You are responsible for every word, number, and certification you submit.

Does It Promise A Win?

No. The grade is a practice run. It shows weak spots and what to fix before the government reads your bid. The buyer makes the final call.

What Files Can I Upload?

PDF, Word, or text files, up to 40 MB. Public solicitations and your own company information only. Never upload CUI, ITAR, export-controlled, or classified files.

Does It Work In My State?

Yes. Federal bids follow the same rules in every state. For a state, city, county, or school district bid, the app finds the buyer's state and shows that state's checklist. All 50 states and DC are covered, and you can pick the state yourself.

Can I Cancel?

Yes, any time. Open Plans and press Manage Billing to cancel in Stripe. When the paid plan ends, your account goes back to the free plan.

Does It Submit My Bid For Me?

No. GradeTheBid never submits anything to the government. You download your files and submit them yourself. Nothing goes to SAM.gov or any agency from the app.

Is My Data Used To Train AI?

No. Your files are used only to run your bid. The AI runs on Anthropic's commercial Claude API, whose terms say customer content is not used for training. Files auto-delete after 30 days. Data And Legal
